Mini Rugby 09.04.18

Mini rugby is for children between 6 and 12 years.

There is no scrumaging in mini rugby.
.
The children are introduced to the basics of the game, passing the ball, tackling, running with the ball.

They are also thought to respect match officials such as the referee and coaches.

Playing the game with their peers both male and female helps the children to develop
their personality and social skills as well as making friends.

The whole idea is to let the kids enjoy themselves as well as learning the basics of the game.

Parents are encouraged to get involved with the mini section by staying and watching training and
providing assurance particularly to the younger children.

Parents are also asked to help out when the club hosts a mini blitz, where several visiting teams come to play.

Mini Training is held on a Wednesday evening at 6.30pm at Carndonagh Community School, from September to April.

New members and their parents are very welcome.
